A Few Questions.....
Hey i just started with one question but looked at all the lt1 posts to see if it was already asked and came up with another one.
First question is whats up with all of these speedchips and stuff like that on ebay? Are they just a wast of money like i think or do they actualy do something?
The second question is on the mac mid length headers that come with the y-pipe can you bult them on and conect up to the cat or is there modifications that have to be done?
Thanks for the help.

For the 97's, most mid-length headers don't come with a y-pipe since it would have to include the dual cats. But it should work anyway, just connect to your factory y-pipe.
You could always but a set of headers for the 93-95 that include the y-pipe and have a muffler shop bend you up the piece you need to connect to your cat-back. Youwould also want to invest in a set of 02 sims for the rear sensors if you go this route though...

Thanks for the info. One more question: Is there going to be a decent power gain posibility with keeping the stock y pipe? Trying to keep street legal and to bold up to the stock y pipe and then add a cat back system would be easiest. But if its worth more work then its worth it i guess.
