I know they are designed to do that, but I dont see how the thin aluminum of the floor would penetrate the fuel tank, or how a hole in the floor will aid this to happen.

I see both sides- one side says yeah, don't weaken the chassis for what can happen- the other side says if you are in an accident that the stress reaches the middle of the car- you're going to be replacing the fuel tank regardless- if at all since its goin to totalled either way.

yeas but the gauge to the sides of the middle isa accualy higher guage i mean in stock form you can push the thing up and down....... 100's of people have done this and not one has had any problems

lol I would say more like 1,000's with no problems My friends car is a autocross car and we did his over a year ago and its a full time race car with 17x11's with 315 all the way around with no problems and that car goes threw more stress the any car on this site! So if that little thing piece of factory sheet metal was that big of a deal I'm guessing his car would of fell apart according to what people are saying Oh well and this car dose not have a roll bar
