Cut outs are pretty much useless unless you drive ur track car on the street or vise versa.

anyway steph, the magnaflow has a deep growl, but when gettin on the throttle i've heard on a v6 its still quiet. brian and derek both have it and i've heard sound clips. its quiet. the flowmaster is cheaper and has a distinct tone. very american muscle!

go to www.ls1sounds.com for a good idea of what each one sounds like.
I'm not running RKSport headers. I'm using stock manifolds for my setup. When I said "I got mine from www.thunderracing.com" I meant my O2 sensor simulators.

I put the American Thunder Flowmaster on my 3.4L and it sounds really loud and nice when its on idle, but when i get up around 3 or 4,000 RPMs or higher, it gets real ricey! It scares the crap out of people when i go by though. For some reason on my car, it will rumble when i back off the accelorator. The rumble is real loud and doesnt sound too good. I paid around 300 total for install and for the exhaust. I got 3.5" tips too that look awesome. It gives the car that muscular look. AND WHEN I MEAN IT'S LOUD, I MEAN YOU HAVE NOOOO IDEA. PEOPLE WITH the V8's have asked me what i did that made my car so loud. I just let em kno its my exhaust...And yes I still have the cats on it.

first, check to see if you have an exhaust leak. then get some headers. that will deepen the sound a lot.

Eh? Mine doesn't.

Actually it might have at one time, can't remember, but it has since been removed, and replaced with 3" custom piping and a test pipe (no cat, b-tches!).

The reason I removed the cat was because the cat had self-destructed. It was clogged to hell. It would not go over 30 KMH, and that caused me a lot of grief in traffic. I ended up cutting an access hole before the cat, and ran with an open y-pipe for a while. During a 100 MPH run down the highway, I heard a pop, and looked in my rear-view mirror, to see a piece of FLAMING CATALYST FLY OUT THE -SS END OF THE CAR.

That was cool sh-t... anyway.

headers are a nice addition on our cars to get rid of the higher pitch that many exhaust give on a v6 at the higher rpms. I have them on mine, and i think they helped the exhaust alot. Ever heard a SLP loudmouth? Them babies are loud. I was showing my one friend from work my new exhuast, and I revved it up for her. And she was like "Thank you, Danielle, I am now deaf." Well, then I have accomplished my goal.

Yea my exhaust sounds crappy. It actually really gets me mad. Ive put a lot of money in my car..and i still get dissapointed. I think i need the V8, but so many people tell me just to go out and buy a new car...I just cant see selling my car for so cheap after I put so much time and effort into her. Man...you want to know whats funny...I was at Wendy's about a mnth ago with friends...when all of a sudden i see a lady and a guy go whos camaro is that outside....I though to myself OH SHYT! they must have hit me or sumthing...haha, they came up to me and said that they owned an all camaro shop...called "The Chop Shop"...The guy said he could get me an LT1 or LS1...for 1600...Errr the temptation...I think its a good deal...but in the back of my head i think there might be something wrong with it....they said they had a whole bunch of different ones all with around 30k miles.....hmmmmmm
