Somemore info from him.
The car has overdrive, so at 70-90 mph I get 25 mpg. The fuel injection on this
engine is awsome. (Do you have a laptop we can load the tuning software on? I have
and old one I was going to give away with the car, but the serial port on it has
stopped working) The car is very reliable, it will get you anywhere you want to go.
It does have drag radials for rear tires. They are fine for now and are made for the
highway too, but if you were going to put tons of miles on the car in the future I
would recommend some regular tires for it.
No no problems, the car runs excellent. Yes, I put almost every one of those miles
on the car. I bought it when I was 19 (Im 31 now). The rearend in the car has 15,000
miles on it. The engine has 6000 miles on it. The transmission is a Art Carr extreme
duty 700R4, and it has 6,000 on it since I had it rebuilt. I built the engine and
put the car back together in 04. I do not drive it very much at all. Recently, I put
in new fuel injectors, fuel pressure regulator, plugs and wires. Yes, it still has
the factory A/C. I did the R-134A converion, so it can use the new style refrigerant
that everyone carries. (Everything in the AC system is new except for the
compressor)
There is no rust on the body. It is the original paint, and it looks great. There is
some surface rust in the wheel well lips. Very minor. I am free any night during the
week. I work until 4:30pm, and usually get home about 5pm.

We can bring my laptop when we check it out on friday. Seems like the guy is pretty straightforward and honest, well check it out and see if it holds up to what he said. Sounds like a good deal so far.
Muratic acid can fix up some of that rust, Adric; and my dad happens to have some if you choose to buy it. Plus you dont plan on driving it in the winter, so I wouldnt worry too much about it. A couple rear tires wont cost you much either.
Cant wait til friday now

muratic acid does not fix rust, it will dissolve the metal where the is rust, once there is rust on teh outer panel, it's already inside, and the only way to fix it correctly is replace all the metal
that is 3 panels all comming together, by the time it shows on the surface it's not minor (the only way you find out is cut the panel out) rust is never really minor it always needs to be replaced with metal to keep it from ing and coming back. If it has rust look elsewhere, especially at that price (any spot of rust on the body drops the class down to at most a 3)
