yea trust me when one of the welds on my exhaust broke on time i was pissed then thought that it sounded pretty good, then i stepped on the gas and was pissed again and fixed it the next day trust me it just doesnt work with the v6 or most v8's in my opinion its just loud and IMO looses alot of that deep tone

I got a cutout for my Beretta and a pair for my Camaro. Only use them at the track, I got 2mph with my Beretta. Definately sounds ******, but it's extra horsepower. Mine were cheap though. $25 for the Beretta and $60 for the Camaro. Instead of a switch there are just 3 bolts to undo by hand. Takes about 15 sec...

Yeah the manual ones are a LOT cheaper. I wanted to get one of those cause of the cost, but I thought it would be cooler to be lazy ... lol. They both work, it just all depends on what you use it for. Like for you woody at the track, the manual one works perfect. Now say you get in a situation where youre driving around with a cutout open and get pulled over, then yeah, youll want the electric one.

alright well i dont know if i mentioned this but...no i wouldnt be driving around with it open to sound kool i think it already sounds fine..... there is a guy that goes to these local car shows and he enters in the efi challenge with his 90 something grqand prix gtp and his new gto i dont kow what year that is..and he said that i should enter to....and this coming spring im going to start....so i want to get these minor upgrades like that to help me out, i am also trying to convine my dad to let me get my headers and my new rear end......

this is from a few comments before with the engines burning out could that have to do with people swtiching them open while they are driving and having them open for a long period of time

What purpose would it serve to have one after the muffler?

I was thinking of putting an electric cutout on mine... but im worried about how it will sound on a v6. Probally like garbage. I personally kinda like the sound (sometimes) of an open headers car.

if he has them on his gtp it should be slower with them open (at least that's what is normal) most cars don't gain a bit with cutouts over a good flowing exhaust (the stock grand prix flows as good as any aftermarket system) also many tracks now are requireing mufflers on any car that runs (to meet noise ordinance)
