Why would somone do that just curious, most of the time people upgrade to the newer stuff but why 2nd gen in a 3rd gen?

I dunno, i really don't like the design of the third gen dashs, i dunno what gm was thinking lol. But ive always likes the older style of cars. And ive always liked the dash from the early to mid 70's.

it's possible, but doesn't fit well the second gen is a wider car. A bunch of guys on nasty z28 have done the 4th gen dash and had a 6 in gap

nope 4th, most guys avoid the third gen stuff completely to avoid dealing with junk
