beyond loud. I am so sure our neighbors hate us. Loud T/A, loud Chevy Truck, oud Camaro... And I get home from work at 11:30 pm usually, and he leaves at 11:30. I'm sure they are woken up every night.

If your exhaust pipe is too small the exhaust fumes from the combustion process in ur cylinder will be trying to push as much out as it can threw a "straw" if you will. Obviouslly it cant get it all out before the exhaust valve closes so there will be some left in the cylinder when the intake stroke takes place. Since there is still some left in the cylinder less air and fuel can get in now so a less powerful explosion causing less horsepower. Now if the exhaust is too big instead of pushing all the exhaust out through the pipe it will build up inside the pipe (since there is not enough velocity to get it all out into the air) and cause the same effect. You want 0 back pressure, however going too small or too big will cause the same effect (too small being the worse of the two evils but still). You want it just right. If you wanted back pressure im sure Top Fuel cars would not run open headers. That about sums it up fellas

all those people thinking u want backprerssure prolly has heard it from someone that heard from someone that you need it because a 2 stroke motor needs it. 4 strokes dont need backpressure or want it, the olny reason to run headers is to make sure the valves dont warp
