ok, well i haven't been on in a while, but i've been busy. after the injectors didn't solve the problem i took the car to a mechanic (friend of my dads) to have him make sure everything was reading properly and attempt to find the problem. he found a few sensors that weren't working but i still had the misfire under full throttle. they checked the timing and made sure it was advancing properly throughout the rpm range. i had an exhaust put on the car, see below) when i told this to the mechanic, and a far fetch he said to take a look at the computer when i get home. So i did, and it was clearly fried (forgot to take a picture) most likely due to the welding that was done on the car without disconnecting the battery. so i got the new computer. same problem
so now i decide to check the fuel pressure while under load (quite funny looking as i have to tape the gauge to the windshield). turns out i cannot maintain constant pressure even under part throttle, ie when i step on the gas and hold it there the pressure goes where it is supposed to be for an instant and drops/bleeds off, Okay, new fuel pump. sunday i put in a walbro 255. much better, but i still have miss under full throttle. i havent had a chance to read or adjust the pressure yet (School and work get in the way) but we will see, i also need to adjust the lifters.
now i think i need a new chip to adjust the fuel curve, and delete the knock sensor that i have disconnected(it runs better that way). so thats whats next anybody got any other ideas?
it sucks ive had a lot of trouble with my fans as well, but i think they are fixed for good now
check out the new exhaust, kinda unique, sounds okay but kinda like a bike.
new valve covers and painted the tpi
new injectors, and i hid the wiring under the tpi
