I guess it would be me. But 2.2L turbocharged engine would be not a bad idea

Aww...no love for the MX-3??? Ah well, I see more guys driving and swapping motors into these cars nowadays. Thats okay, I like being the underdog.

At least a lightly modded crx can beat a stock stang. MX-3's can't even beat my GrandFathers Caprice Wagon. :hah:

HAHAHA...thats alright, I can take the abuse. My car was never meant to be a drag racing terror anyways. It's a solo 1 car plain and simple. A Type R killer where the Type R's are supposed to be. On a road course. The less you know about MX3's the better though.

i dunno if i agree with that whats the stock skidpad rating on those mx-3s, i can bet typeRs have a better rating, and its probably not even close to a miata etc

^ Why don't you compare apples to apples. A stock MX3 doesn't not have the factory tuning that a Type-R does... try comparing a tuned Integra to a tuned MX3 and then see how they stack up. And IMO, skidpad isn't really a good way to judge a car's handling performance... it's just a rating of overall grip and not how the car responds to steering or how balanced it is. A car can have an awesome skidpad number and still handle like .
And you guys are right, MX3s are slow. Especially the ones with a BPT or a KLZE (you guys don't know what those are).
BTW, the Mazdaspeed Protege supposedly handles better then an ITR. That's right, the high-performance version Mazda's entry level sedan beats out the all-conquering Integra Type-R. That's what happens when Mazda builds their "Type-R"
