lol really just doing it as I go. One thing I realized is that I didn't account for the fact that panels go over each side where the screws are, so I might have to cut that and then block sand it to account for that, but that's minor. Otherwise, it's really coming out decently.

well, the main coat of fiberglass is done.. now I'm going to use fiberglass reinforced bondo to smoothen it over. I'll post pics later.

I can just imagine the mess I'm going to make when I make my fiberglass speaker box.

truthfully, the biggest mess I've encountered so far is the dust from using my dremel to sand. gets everywhere. Other than that... I've only laid down two cardboard boxes and I haven't really made too much of a mess.

blahhhhhh im so tired of sanding! lol. it's so tempting to just be like "screw it, good enough for me!" and start primper and what not, but I want this to look good so I'm still sanding.

If you do that you'll regret it and end up redoing it anyways.

why the tiger hair? is it stressed? if not use the regular it's easier to work with, and add a little fiberglass resin to the bondo to make it easier to sand

yeah I wish I would've known that lol I hate this sanding crap. I actually broke down and went ahead with some Krylon Fusion. Truthfully, I plan on doing this over again quite soon I just want to get this in my car. I already have plans on the way for carPC v2.0 with a new motherboard and such. Right now this is like the prototype "Does it really work?" version.

If I remember right...I think it's for a Touch screen computer in the car. Able to play music and tons of other stuff. Right?
