Here's some pics of the bezel so far:

My dad came up with the idea of mounting the motherboard under the bezel, then using wood to create a box around that, and then fiberglass / filler and paint.

My huge ******* story of the day:

So yesterday, my dad and I were discussing on how we wanted to mount and mold the screen into the bezel. I had taken the screen apart for a moment to show him what I wanted to do. I wanted to leave only the plastic front in place, and have the screen, buttons, and the back all removed from the plastic front, so I could mold right up to the buttons and edge of the screen and really have it molded in. Well, the way we mounted the screen to the bezel, it was plausible to remove the back and the screen and buttons, I had to just cover the screen portion and tape over the buttons and then mold the best I could with all of it still in place. Today I've been working on it since I got up at like 11am, about 3pm my dad IM's me and says "Make sure you test the screen and make sure it works." So I thought hmmm y'know I never did test the screen after taking it apart, maybe that's a good idea. Mind you, I already had the screen glued in with JB Weld, and had bondo-glass filled in around the screen and had it lookin pretty good. Well, I plug it in... the screen turns silver and there's a 1-pixel wide green line down on the left side of the screen, and a 1-pixel wide red line going down the center of the screen. I instantly knew something was wrong, and was freaking out trying to figure out how to fix it since it was all in place and molded and everything. I knew just by how the screen looked that something was wrong with the LCD's video ribbon because they are a thin strip that slides into a plug, and it's not exactly the most secure plug, so when I had it apart I must've pulled it out a little. So, I knew what I had to do. Took a knife, went around the jb weld (thankfully, JB weld didn't bond TOO strong) and literally had to just break it out of the bezel. Thankfully, it came out really easy and pretty cleanly. Open it up, and sure enough the video ribbon was crooked and some of it was out a bit. Put it all back together, and turn it on and tada good as new. Needless to say, it was a semi-waste of the entire morning, but it was pretty easy to get back to where I was using the bondo-glass... this stuff dries QUICK! So, that's my ******* story of the day.

PS: Steve, feel special, I had a PM message open ready to send to you to ask if you knew what was going on, but then I realized it was the video ribbon.
