honestly, we really should have winter driving school. you should HAVE to learn how to drive in the winter before youre allowed to have ur license. just too many stupid people on the roads who dont realise that in the snow, you have to go SLOWER.

I agree. Too many people driving now a days that have no clue and put all of our lives at risk with their stupid driving. It seems the mentality of society is " if i have winter tires, my car can stop on a dime! " .. so maybe having the winter driving school a mandatory thing you need to take before getting your license. For those who get their license in the spring or summer would have a sticker on their license that implements that they still need a winter driving course before they can proceed for their full license... that way people cannot avoid it.

Or at least have that law implemented for those who have been in a accident in the snow previously.

problem with that is all the bullshit winter tire commercials. theres one right now for some snow tires about a truck kicking up a bunch of slush and then sliding or soemthing and they avoid it, its on the radio, it just makes it seem like snow doesnt stand a chance against these snow tires. on a positive note, we got like 15 cm over nite, im going out to play shortly

Ah yes. It's unfortunate though that people think by just putting on good ol' snow tires, they are safe from anything happening and they can still drive like the roads are dry. Silly people.

We just had a big dumping as well, ah right you are in Canada. Ontario? Roads were fun this morning I think we are supposed to get 1-3cm over night, rain or freezing rain.

yup i was out playing on the side roads today. the tires on my suv are brand new michelin ltx m+s. mud and snow tires, fantastic street tire, had them on my z71 aswell. forward movement is a joke with these on. ive already plowed a half dozen snow banks, gone over one of those islands at the end of a street in one of those roundabouts and parked on top of some deep snow on a curb at my brothers place. its been a fantastic day

I have all seasons on the MC right now and it doesn't seem to agree well. They are about 75%, Goodyear tires.. I can't remember what exact type they are but even with slight acceleration, the car slides ridiculously. Been aiming to get winters on them sometime last week, but been to side tracked to head down to Rexdale to get them. My friend said Wal-Mart was selling them for $35 a tire... somehow, that just doesn't sit well with me.. Winter Tires from Wal-Mart... That's almost like taking the shingles off my roof and gluing them together to make a tire..

Any suggestions as to a good, reliable, decently priced winter tire? Perhaps I should wander off to Crappy tire..

Saw someone with a Ford Taurus today completely lodged on a snow bank right in front of Southlake. They must've been hauling *** for the entire car to be balancing on the top of it .. lol.

as long as its a brand name your fine. people talk highly about the blizzaks, my buddy had them and hatred themn. he had some no name brand from ct that they dont seem to carry anymore and they were an awsome tire suprisingly

Almost side-swiped by two indians on a family outing in their mini-vans....the one guy decided to change lanes across 4 lanes at the last minute because he was going to miss his exit and didnt seem to think that there might be some on-coming traffic using the off-ramp as well. The other guy thought it would be cool to ride the line on the highway and swerve back and forth. Probably should have got off his damn cell phone. I honked at him and he acted like he was doing nothing wrong

The last guy....some idiot white guy decides to make a lane change without looking....I honk at him (because Im right beside him and see him coming over) and then he starts yelling at me

Over 600 accidents in a span of only a few hours this morning.... It seems every time the officers talk on the news about "motorists really need to slow down... they aren't getting the message.." because society has become so ignorant and stupid.. I really don't understand the way people think these days. 600 accidents... what the hell is wrong with people... When out salting earlier in the AM some lady was turning in an intersection, and got stuck in a snow bank... if the corner is covered in snow, use the other lane if it's an option.. How stupid can you be..

Some lady is trying to sue a grocery store due to having an allergy to eggs. She wants to sue them because she purchased EGG nog and didn't know it was made with EGGS! How dumb can you be.. lol.
