Sure, that may be true for some, like a viper motor in a jeap. But if youre trying to race your car, and your goal is x 1/4 mile, then you would go for a proven recipe.
You dont see the outlaw class guys down here saying... WELL WE KNOW THE FORMULA TO GO 7's IN A STANG, LETS BUY A KIA CAUSE ITS ALL ABOUT THE CHALLENGE....
Sounds like a scape goat when you say it. The cavi would be great if it was RWD and powered by a v8
Civic isnt an easy way out.. a fox lx with tire and spray is the easy way
Anyways, it is good to be different, so props to that

Depreciation muchly? We won't even get into dollar conversion rates back in 1994 because that makes the corvette of that year look even more worthless.

so what happened to the supra, no longer around? yeah thought so
think is the corvette will start to go up in value again, look at the old vettes of the 60's and 50's, they sell for a premium these days. the supra is a nice car but my god is it ever expensive to mod. you could buy a c4 vette for the cost of making a supra run 12's, lol

Vs.
Turbo A or Group A mk3 supra, only 500 made. I bet you they would be close in price in clean condition.
And nobody will pay $45000? Then why are people able to sell them for that price. Hell, there is even a local shop that frequently sells them more MORE than that and still gets good sales. I guess a simple minded old redneck such as yourself doesn't see the capabilities of the car, but whatever to each their own. They do sell at that price.

if you wanna compare that that compare it to the gnx or the very rare gnx xray

^^ actually the mkiv supra na or not, is one of the most rewarding imports to make power on. people have got 10's on stock twins. too many ricers trying to drag on 19" rubberbands make the rest look stupid

twins should always be upgraded to one big jesus turbo
problem is the supra isnt a cheap platform to build by any means, probably one of the most expensive imports you can build. my buddy has a 12 second supra, fun car but not cheap to build or maintain.
and i jsut wanted to add something, you dont talk to gn guys, the gn is prbably the best sleeper you can buy, cheap to mod and they take very well to mods. its like talking to a guy with a fox body that has a nasty idle and a bottle in the trunk, you dont know if its running a 50 shot or a 250 shot, lol

how do you figure its so expensive to build? theyre no b16 into a hatch project, but they are relaible as hell. i helped by buddy go single with his last winter, and he did a lot of the right shopping and built a GREAT single kit for himself for a very reasonable cost, including management. and its a toyota, reliable as
stock internal'd 2jz's have proven to go into 9's. any motor you dont have to pull out and tear down to go 9's on cant be that expensive to build up
and i only used twins going 10's as an example. if theyre running stock twins and going that fast, that goes to show you something. they do low 13's stock, and and can do low 12's high 11's with just bolt ons to the stock twins. unless youre shopping for top shelf greddy this, hks ti that, the prices arent as bad as you make them out to be.

its still not like modding a cavalier, hell evreythings a dime a dozen
im going by what ive been seeing, thousands on a big turbo kit, i guess if you have the compitance to avoid buying brand name items and resource them yourself it cant be too bad. but hey look at the tuner transformations supra and the money that went int the turbo kit with fmic and whatever else they put into it.

A 2006 Charger R/T runs a 14.2, they come with a 5.8L HEMI engine putting out 340hp and 390tq. The 2006 srt-8's run 13.5, and they come with a 6.1L HEMI engine putting out 425hp and 420tq. My friends h22 civic with 180whp can run mid 13s all day. An EG with a type-r can run 12s with a stock bottom equiped with just bolt ons but as for stock completely not even an intake, you'll be probably more around a high 13.
