i hate civics for many reasons. period.

And if all import guys hate domestics, let me be the first to say its not true.
As a kid, the first cars I ever fell in love with were the hot rods of the 30's,40', and 50's. Why did I like them? Because they were budget cars made to perform. And thats why I mod my car. Im not in it for anything but the sheer joy of working on my car. The reason I chose a honda was because its like a modern day hot rod. Plus the part availability is great, so my possibilities for custom work would be that much easier.
I could have as easily gone with a domestic though. A probe would be cool. Although I prefer light cars. Maybe something german. Like a golf. I love audi's too.

As a domestic owner, i really dont see the benefits of building a J-Body. I guess if i had to build a 4 banger/sport compact something, id conider a srt4, wrx, s2000.... but if i had to choose between a honda civic and cavi, wow, would i ever take a honda.
Cavis feel lose and junky, least the ones ive been in. Cavis have no sport look to them. Hondas for the most part drive smoother. From a tuner stand point Honda has far more to offer. Honda Civics are yesterdays Ford Mustangs, that means any shop can work on em, theres tons of used parts out there and a huge aftermarket.

That is cool that you like cavies and we like imports (hondas). so maby if you stop bashing people but still say your oppinion in a nicer point of view then i dont know about every one els ill stop bashing cavies. But is their really much you can do to a cavie. do you have to make custom parts because i havint seen much upgrades for cavies meh good luck

i want to build car X cause its a challenge and costs more. 
Sure, that may be true for some,like a viper motor in a jeap. But if youre trying to race your car, and your goal is x 1/4 mile, then you would go for a proven recipe.
You dont see the outlaw class guys down here saying... WELL WE KNOW THE FORMULA TO GO 7's IN A STANG, LETS BUY A KIA CAUSE ITS ALL ABOUT THE CHALLENGE....
Sounds like a scape goat when you say it. The cavi would be great if it was RWD and powered by a v8
