i find it the other way around. most domestic guys can't stand imports and bash them for no reason. especially morons who drive trucks. I live up in hillbiilyville AKA (lindsay) so like everyone drives trucks. the funniest example of the domestic ignorance was my girlfriends sisters boyfriend he told her that if she buys an import that he will not be seen in it. comeon he is 26 like get a life, who says like that . my GF drives an alero and I know its a piece of but I can respecet that that is all she could afford. and yes I have owned lots of different cars mazda, ford, nissan, honda, parents own GM's. worst car was probabaly the ford taurus my mom had best was probably my civic for reliability, grand am was also relaible but drove like a tank.dads malibu goes through brakes like mad. domestic guys are like leaf fans they can't admit that there company/team really sucks. cavelqueer is not much different from the civic except that in two years your cavelqueer depriciates 8000 and the civic depreciates 2000. and then the whole quality issues most domestics have of late.

Not that mazda is known for quailty/ relaiblilty LOL. Proibibly that ford infulence. If your dads malibu is going through brakes like mad that sounds like the driver. Brakes need changing all the time depending on driving habits and such. The reason cavis depriciate so fast is beause they are like 13k brand new. You get what you pay for. You certainly dont buy the cheapest car in the lineup and expect it to resell for a large sum of money. Lets not go into the pop can sheet metal honda uses on there cars.

actually the malibiu is known to go through brakes, look in consumer reprots or any car magazine. I figured you would already know that mister know it all. why can't domestic lovers admit that there cars depriciate faster the imports?

I also never had a problem with quality or reliability in any of the 9 Mazda products I've owned. Just to prove how wrong Nastyzed is AGAIN, the "low-quality, unreliable" Mazda B6T bottom end in my Festiva still has cross-hatching visible on its cylinder walls, still makes 155psi compression aross all cylinders (spec is between 135-160psi), doesn't have a spot of oil sludge under its valve cover, and has had about 230,000kms put on it in its 18 year life time. I was going to rebuild it, but there isn't a point when its in that good of a shape. Also, my 13B rotary in my 22 year old RX7 has 196,000kms on it and it fires up right away when you start it, a sure sign that those mythical demon apex seals are still in perfect condition. These cars were made before Ford had any influence on Mazda, so that's probably why they are so good. I can't say anything about newer Mazdas though... I wouldn't be surprised if they took a turn for the worse, now that Ford's cost cutters have their claws sunken into them.
And if Honda uses pop-can sheet metal (pop cans aren't made out of steel by the way), why are there a hell of a lot more older Honda cars (late 80's early 90's) on the road then there are GM cars?

HAHAHAHAHAHHAHAHAHAHAHAHHAHAHAHH this has got to be a joke... There are still more GMs on the road then anything honda put out in the 80s.. GM sold more cars ,built strong longer lasting V8 RWD platforms like the olds supreme and buick regal. There are probibly more chevettes on the road then civics of that year. WTF?? 196,000km/ 230,0000 is peanuts thats not high mileage. I plow MY gm sedans past 300,000 on stock drivetrains. One had a GEN 2 2.8 the other was a 3800. I didnt expect that my old GP would start on the coldest morning of the year with over 300,000 on the clock I know it would...GM hasent put out the best interiors in the past 10 years but the drivetrains were built damn solid.

Want to talk about domestic depreciation? in 30 years lets see your integra or civic go for over 100,000 or even 1 million. The s2000 wont even score that. Seems as though the going rate for original domestic muslce machines is nothing less then 30,000. Yep cars that were sold for 5k brand new.

Yeah because they made S2000's, Civics, and Integras 30 years ago you ing block head. How can you predict how much something is going to be worth when you have no history to base it on? How do you know they won't sell for that much? I bet you an NSX won't be cheap 30 years from now. Yes cars sold for $5000 but houses also sold for $30,000 and people made $5,000 a year... it's basic inflation, which doesn't take a genius to figure out. Are they selling cars these days for $5000? Nope. Were Toyota and Honda selling many cars back then? Nope. Are they now? Yes... whose going to soon knock GM out of the number one automaker spot. Here, let's spell it... T-O-Y-O-T-A
There are cars out there that are worth MUCH more then domestic muscle cars. A million dollar Hemi 'Cuda is peanuts when compared to old Duesenbergs, Bentleys, Rolls Royce, Mercedes, etc. If you didn't shroud yourself in domestic car ignorance, you'd know this. And the only reason most of those domestics are worth so much money is because they are rare. Why are they rare? Because no one wanted to buy them back then, just like no one wants to buy a new GM these days.
