I taught my GF how to drive stick on my 323GT. She didn't even stall it the first time, which is surprising. I let her drive the Festiva too and she stalled it. It didn't make sense, both cars have the same drivetrain, and the Festiva should be easier to drive because it is lighter, yet she stalled it?!
She goes away to school so she is away for the majority of the time that I'm working on the car.

I had an 87 Horizon, (omni) with 2.2l carb, I tweaked the timing, accidentaly broke the air pump, swiss cheesed the air box, the one behind the headlights, etc. ran great, would cook a Probe V6. And there's a purple Probe V6 in Sarnia that will attest to that. He's now a friend. Anyway, we went down to Canatara Park in Sarnia, because it's got a big parking lot, with lots of turns etc, for a driving lesson. She stalled it the first time, but was really close to getting it going. So I said that was almost perfect, just give it a little more gas. Well since she's here, the tire smoke blotted out the sun, scared all the seagulls in a ten mile radius, and those tires were never the same again.
In reality she left a good ten feet of rubber from both tires, and I couldn't say much since I did say "a little more gas". I love telling that story to people when she's right there. She gets all embarrassed, especially since those 30 ft burnout marks are probably still there.

I will stay at the shop all day with my bf and help him, dont see the big deal.
I dont mind it at all, i learn lots of things and i have done it manytimes maybe i am just used to it now.
But i want to get my car looking good and going fast and i dont want to just give it to him i want to be able to help to.
Right now my bf car runs 11s and mine runs 14 i hope by the end of this year to hit low 13 or high 12s and next have a new paint job.
