its funny how they still base the facts on stupid actual street races on busy streets and not the real at industrial areas compared to a street full of people just minding thier own business where at the organized races everyone is aware of whats going on.

I saw that on the news on monday night actaully... it was quite funny the "former street racer" that is STILL a street racer... hes only driving his beater cause he cant get insurance on his modded cx LOL once he gets insurance he will be racing again.
they showed w/16th a lot... and the dudebridge crew lol It's all about the York Region.

And that quote of ""Since 1999, 29 people have been killed in the Greater Toronto Area, as a direct result of street racing activities""

99% of that is from improptu street racing thats 4 deaths a year since 99, not bad since we probably have 4 homicides a month just in the GTA alone

Build a track in the gta, 80% problems solved

The erase program has already been launched the cops had their big meeting and media event at the airport not long ago about the whole erase program.
They know about some of the big meets and shows... and they will be hitting them hard this year.

Later on i can post some dates of events

**Edit**
to add any car that looks modified that has an aftermarket exhaust or has a wing is going to get pulled over. Whats worse is that anyone with a honda and a fart can is gunna get ed lol
the ride along with the constable was funny, "I WANT YOUR NAME AND YOUR NAME" ""oh you'll get my name it will be on the ticket your getting.""
lol

"Police in all the G.T.A. cities, along with Barrie, South Simcoe, Guelph, Ottawa, London and Waterloo have been given special powers to seize and impound cars that have been specially modified for speed. "

Is this new?

What a load of police and media misinformation.

And what are these "special powers"? Kung Fu or something?

I find this whole article extremely irritating, but especially the part about that guys sentence. A lifetime ban on driving! For something that was a complete accident. What about buddy from Holland Landing that is the first person to kill someone twice while driving impaired. The first time it happened he ways given a four year sentence and only served two and then was eventually given back his license only to kill again! I don't care how plastered you are, when you get behind the wheel of a car drunk, you know what you are doing and the risks that you take. I find it quite humourous how easily one can get away with murder while impaired. So if any of you wanna kill someone, just down a mickey the highest proof money can buy and go run them over cause all you'll get is 4 years. I'm really not kidding, they talk about this in police foundations all the time.

wow, I love the way this is going...

Stop, you bought a cat-back exhaust system and an aftermarket intake,

(+)
- you paid taxes

- you supported the economy

(-)
- your vehicle has been modified for speed

- you have just become an irresponsible "speed demon"

(=)
We have now impounded your car, have a nice day!

PS. We have also raised TTC rates so .

If I had a dollar for every soccer mom in a van that has sped away from me at the lights, I would be a lot better off.

BTW, did anyone ever bother to find out what kind of "go-fast" modifications those cars had that crashed???

Aftermarket turbo/supercharger kits, nitrous or high compression N/A motors I would consider go fast, but having an intake and an exhaust to customize your ride is more of a styling modification then speed in my opinion.

Gli its completely true what you said ,first off this government is all wack,i say put more money into stopping drunk drivers and less time going after modded cars because the cars that are racing once in a blue moon at the actual runs are not killing anyone plus the ones killing are the kids behind the wheel of a car racing up and down city streets, second its funny how we cant even do nothing to our cars anymore since its illegal but a gay has the right to marry another gay and our tax dollars are going to go towards gays changing thier gender, but yet a blind man still has to pay for check ups on his eyes its funny how down the drain canada is going.

Thanks so true bro.... The system is seriously messed up. I just find it sad that no matter what you do, if your a young guy driving a nice car, your gonna get pulled over and harrassed by the cops.

its funny how they want to cut down on crimes but they dont en understand that building cars is a hobbie and hobbies in most cases are a replacement for some people instead of causing trouble or spending money on drugs and people are focusing thier money and time towards a car and not towards crime and drug use.

project erase= :supergay:
