Relax carl

You don't have to go to "college" to know manifold boost pressure and oil pumps are not related in any way...It is common sense. But it seems you should spend less time selling stolen car parts and more time wrenching.

Oh and it is the smack talking section, the whole point is to TALK smack to people. I am just keeping this place entertaining.

Ok I agree that an oil pump will fail from high RPM, but you should have specified. Remember that the turbo that used to be on my car would spool under 2500rpm and I'm not used to having to rev an engine past 6k to get a big turbo to spool.

and what does make full boost (example t4 turbo on a 2.0l honda motor) low rpm???? i don't think u'll be able to get the full boost out of such a big turbo on low rpm...

although that logic DOES make sense just give it up and admit you said it wrong to begin with. Who in there right mind would have originally worded it the way you did to say it is high rpm.

Boosted_ITR... We all agree with your slow Honda has to spin to high RPMs to spool a large turbo. We agree that oil pumps do fail bcause of this. But the oil pump failure has nothing to do with the fact that the engine has high boost, or is even boosted at all, it only has to do with the fact that you are spinning the oil pump beyond its intended speed (to spool the turbo), which is why it fails. Thanks bye.
