so i'm gettin ready to take my car to the drags here pretty soon. so i was out and about today and i did a practice launch, i held the rpm's at about 2500 and then let the clutch engage and floored it from there. i got minimal wheelspin, but there was a little chirping. i was wondering if that's like terribly hard on the drivetrain or if that's how you're supposed to launch? what would be the way to properly launch? approximately as i understand it's different for every car.

try raising the rpm's a little, and in the gas a touch slower, it won't hurt anything as long as your not getting a slam feeling
