well if you like it then get it...

I just think theres a couple reasons not to have one. What they said above, its pointeless to have one on a auto. 2, i dont really like how they look... honestly, your car was maxed out at appearance for me when you got it repainted. I liked it the most at its peak then.

I'm going to have to say no as well. You'll definitly hear about it from people when they see a shift light in an auto.

To be honest I have a shift light in my garage but I never even installed it in my car and it's a six speed. I'll probably end up installing it but if/when I do I'll put it in the air vent so you won't see it unless it's lit up.

well again, you can't see it unless you're in the driver seat. I mounted it inside the 4" hood cowl and back far enought that you only see the light. Secondaly - it was free. Long story but It's a used piece that at one point was on a Nextel cup stock car. Not one that was drivin in a race but a test car. Still.

Sounds to me like her already did it.. I still think its dumb though.. Its an auto, why would you need a shift light? Your car should know how to shift on its own without seein a light..

Do you have any pictures of it Grant, because by the sounds of things you already put it in. I'm just curious as to how it looks.

I'm going to put in my two cents by saying that a shift light in an automatic car (manual valve body excluded) is complete and utter rice.

Reminds me of the kid back in Winnipeg with the automatic civic that found a way to fit the manual shift **** with the gear-shift pattern stamped on it, and shift boot onto his gear level to make it look like a manual. It's rice. Would you like some soya sauce and sushi to go with it?

Not that you're that concerned with what other people think (Christ, only 10 members told you not to do it, and you did it anyway), but you'll catch a lot of flak for it if anyone actually sees it. I caught hell for shifting my car until they realized it was a manual valve body.

Well thats the other thing, it's not stock. Not by a long shot. I was out a lot of money to make sure of that.

Yes I already did mount it. Not much to take a pic of becuase like i said, you can't see it unless you're in the driver seat. Then it's only a red flash. I'd take a pic of that but if yall look at a stop light, then imagine that shining threw the bottom of your windshield - thats what it looks like.

I like it. Yes it may be a bit rice. Fine, I'll admit it. My flame gauges were rice too and I'm getting rid of those. But it was free. I like the color red. And it's unique. I'm happy. Besides, the heat from the engine will probably burn it out in a month anyway and it's just a matter of 3 screws, and 3 wires to remove and yall can be happy with me again.
