When I was 17, I made $30,000 in a year delivering pizza. That's how I bought my Camaro. So consider that I had no other bills at the time, I think this 'bonehead' made some pretty good scratch.

yeah that makes no sense. i work at least 55 hours each week and only take in about 500 a week BEFORE taxes. no way pizza delivery makes more, and no way they get more hours. tips or not, gotta waive the BS flag. and i would know, i used to deliver pizza too. its crap money.

Well if you convert that to US dollars it would be about $25,930 or so. That makes it just under $500 US a week so at 17 that's good money but it's not huge by any means.

As Chad pointed out, it's Canadian dollars. Consider the exchange rate back in 2002/2003. The Canadian dollar was not nearly as strong as it is currently.

Also, how do you figure? I worked from 4-10 pm then partied afterwards. I made amazing tips because I knew everyone in the area, and we were the busiest store in Winnipeg. I had these two girls give me a $20 tip on a $10 order. Life was good back then.

Caleb, wave the BS flag all you want, but how else does a 17 year old buy a $19,000 car? I'm terrible at saving money. Oh, and ALL my earnings were tax-free, under the table.
