to be a kill or not a kill that is the question?

k guys i wanna hear wut everyone has to say :

I just bought a 99 type r. the motor is completely stock. I have a friend who has a 2003 mazda speed the ones that come turbo charged. I gave him a beating on the q/m by 5 cars if not more. But that race was for ***** n gigles. now hes all pissed cuz he honestly thought he was gona take me so now he wants to take this to the highway. he is so confident that he will give me a beating that he wants to put his money where his mouth is. he wants to go for a 100 bucks which is not much at all but eh 100 buck is a 100 bucks and its not even the money i just dont wanna loose to him cuz he will never shut up. both our motors are stock. The itr boogies on the highway .... but the question is can i take him or not ?

k guys .... the race went down and they typie pull through !!! we went out on the 401 saturday night around 4 in the morning. We aggreed that he would start off in front of me from the on ramp. the only reason i said he can start infront of me is because i wanted to use it as an excuse if he beat me lol !!! but ne ways what happened was he got about a car and a bit on me. it stayed like that till i hit 5th. once i hit 5th gear it was no looking back. i kept going till i hit 9000 rpm n then i let off. i looked back and i had him by about 4-5 cars. basically it was an easy 100 bucks in my pocket but the nice guy that i am i gave him back his money. i no i should have kept the cash but hes my buddy and i felt bad taking his money. he got pretty pissed that i pulled that much on him that hes takin his car to the shop to get bigger piping and a header on his car but i dont think that will make him faster than me !!!

peace out

I call BULLSH!T
First off factory tuned ITR's cant exceed 190ish kmh Which is about the top of 4th ish if taking it to 9000rpm...
9000RPM in 5th gear is approximately 255ish kph
I had my old lil red to 265ish kmh at the top of 5th gear 4.785 FD ITR tranny and i was @ 9500 RPM
Stock ITR 15.2 ISH many swear otherwise but only a rare few have proved 14's
now Stock MAZDASPEED 04' i think friend of mine's car went 14.8 i think so i find it a driver's error or a bullshit story

ok let's get terminology down here:
STOCK = COMPLETELY FACTORY ORIGINAL OR REPLACEMENT PARTS TO OEM SPECIFICATIONS
If the modification alters original characteristics it is no longer stock...

Cams look similar 1 to another but 1 is OEM REPLACEMENT other is PERFORMANCE UPGRADE...

Im guessing if the car exists...
Championship white
ITR REDS
Axle-back pipe
AEM CAI
spoon replica chip
short shifter
thats my guess for this car...
and i find it highly unlikely stock ITR hitting 14.7's whats his mph?
