suzuki swift gt vs. acura integra type r
#31
No pun intended their,I've passed type r's on the hwy and for some reason i guess they don't like it and they'll fly past me,I'll do my best to keep up,Whether it be on their *** or a car or 3 behind.
I'm not a big honda guru so they must have been modded if everyone says i should be faster.

Hey guys. just wanted to post this. I guy out in Australia ran a 14.2 with a swift gt. The car has cams, quad throttle bodies and a standalone. these cars got some potential with the right mods. remember all this out of a 1.3l N/A engine!!! I'm gonna be trying a quad TB setup next year...

okay first of all. i am the cousin he is reffering to. and sandro, you know you lost those races with me. we werent door to door, i was a car ahead of you.
Specs:
Civic EG SiR
-B16a2 SiRII
-Headers
-Spoon ECU
-JDM exhaust
-Intake
dynoed at 158 WHP
i will admit though, this swift isnt slow. off the line he destroys me, but when my vtec kicks in, i pass quickly. but he does keep up. but i was a car length infront of you brother... haha eh u have those seats for me.

OK, I only read up to page 2 but I thought I would put my 2 cents in. Just for the record, I have owned over 60 cars and 28 of them have been Mustangs. The current one would make any diehard TSR'er proud, flat black and turbocharged. Its a turbo 5.0, and I built the system myself. I dont think that will prove anything to you guys, but I'm just trying to show that I'm not a dummy with cars and that what I'm about to say isn't far fetched.
I used to own a nice clean '90 Swift GT. The car was mint, came with a full Jackson Racing suspension, puny steelies with very low profile tires (change gear ratio for better acceleration) and all I had for power mods were a K+N filter and no muffler. I used to beat up on Civic SIR's all the time, could keep up to GSR's up to about 170 and beat every other Swift GT/GTi I came up against. Most of my friends will tell you that my Swift must have been a factory fluke, and I'm inclined to agree with them. A nicely modded N/A Swift GT 1.3 DOHC can keep up to a stock Type R. Keep in mind the GT is 100hp/84lb ft in a 1600lb car. N/A you can wring out 150hp without breaking the bank too bad, and run low 14's high 13's with it. With the right turbo system, you can go quite a bit quicker and beat up on Type R's and the like. To this day I still profess that my Swift was the toughest car I've ever owned. I put 85,000km of pure abuse on it in under 15 months. The engine internals would make a performance catalogue blush. Steel crank, forged rods and forged pistons. The Head flows fantastic numbers. The only real restrictions on this motor would be the intake and cams.

Ahhhh, it *might* help if you quoted the actual post you were referring to
As for pics of my old Swift, I have none. I wish I did, but that was way before I was into online forums and scanning pics of my cars. It was plain. Nice gloss black paint, 14" steelies with hubcaps, dark tints, and a lowered stance. She was great, I sure do miss that car. Also, I didnt make any timeslip claims.
