I have the Hankook K104 Ventus Sport on my car and they suck for traction. They are Y speed rated (300+ kms/hr) but I find they don't hook well from a dig. For the stang my choice would be:
radial - BFG drag radial DOT street tire - MT ET Street For a low $$ radial the Kumho Ecsta's aren't bad at all. I found they worked better (traction wise) than the hankooks which I have now. For a torque monster that you'll have, any standard radial tire would be pretty much useless. It all depends on how you drive your car and for what purpose you want the tires for (i.e. handling vs straight line traction) |
Bridgestone Potenza S03 Pole Positions. Based on F1 Tire. Not Cheap. 425.00 a tire. But feels like your driving an indy car when you get heat into them.

Yoko A032R's or Kumho Victoracers. Maybe I'll try both. I expect to go through about 3 sets of tires this year.

DSS actually has a good piston for 347 so they dont burn oil but it doesnt matter. The rod to stroke ratio is a joke...331 is perfect for a screamin streeter. Hell even a .30 over 306 is better than a 347. 408 gets into a 4" stroke..bit much if you wanna go over 5500 RPM. If you want a big block build one..heads flow waaaay better.
