okay im 22, been driving for some 3 years but lazy to get G license but had G2 for quite some time i guess it might even expire soon.

I got a speeding ticket (first one) 137 in a 50 (farm lands.. not regular street city roads) which I thought was 80 to begin with... anyways i got a court date summons, i hired some idiots at TTT (toronto traffic tickets).

They 'fought' and told me i have a choice between six points or 0 points and a license suspension. I chose the later...

The prosecutor and the ttt idiots made a deal that... it gets lowerd from 137 to 120... i feel jipped/ripped off by TTT honestly but alas... (long story but this is what they managed).

The court date is soon.

I drive a 91 240.

What are my chances? Results? Etc.. whats gona happen. It's a one month license suspension and 0 points...

I have no previous tickets except one turning right at a red light, without complete stop which is getting thrown out... there was no sign saying not to... and it just turned red as i was turning..

hey

looking at your post ur situation sounds a lot like what happened to me. well heres an update i found ways to postpone the date from Nov 23rd and my lawyer tried to get an out of court settlement which wasnt possible for me going 134 in a 50 zone with a G1. and they cant blame me for street racing coz i was the only idiot there. so what youre looking at is some major fines like im looking at around $500-$600 right now and a big chance of a suspended license but the amount of days depends on the judge as far as i heard. theres no set time limit. and youre looking at about 6 points. you shouldnt go to those companies liek Xcopper they dont care what happens. you should hire a lawyer cheap or expensive they can give you a lot of suggestions and they handle the case with you by their side theres nothing hidden from you. good luck with ur case though

btw i have a question about ur right turn. i had the exact same problem. i recently had a court case for it and when i showed up i ws offered to pay a $60.00 fine and no points. and the cop was present so i did that and left. do u think that was a wise choice? also i didnt have any legal rep since i thought this wud be a simple scenario. any help is greatly appreciated thanks guys

I just want to clarify...sum advise for any IDIOTS who obtain this charge.

i was in court the other day, and the officer and i were on good terms so i was involved in the usual prosecutor/officer gathering prior to the trials...

they were jus shooting the and talking about the new "STUNT 50 OVER"
which replaces all 50 over/racing charges...

now this sounds like a big pain in the *** but can be good for neone getting charged...the officers and prosecutors are having issues making this stick...

by definition you have to be doing 50 over to start with, AND be driving in a wreckless manor...

so scenario 1...3 am ...ur SOBER...driving home from a weekedn at ur girlfriends doing 160 on the 404...COUGH COUGH

they charge you with STUNT 50 over...

thrown out of court on the first appearence... reason... you wernt wreckless by deffinition...

they HAVE to prove the STUNT part...in order to make the speeding charge stick...it cant be one or the other

much like they can charge you with driving under the influence...and u can get away with that...bye proving u wernt smashed, but u cant fight the over 80 they will also give you with it...

until they change the law so they can seperate the charges...there kind of out of luck

so neone unfortunate to have this charge...good luck

you get a few tickets... driving under the legal age, operateing a vehicle with out license.. the car will be impounded, parents can face charges as well... depending on the attitude of the peace officer

Really? I have had many friends when I was younger do this. They were 14-15 driving their parents car got pulled over or into accident etc etc and nothing happened. As they are "too young" to know what they are doing is illegal and the rules don't apply to them.

As soon as you have your beginners it means you know and understand the rules of the road and how to operate a vehicle as well as the consiquences that come along with driving so they can hit ya with anything. This is how I always heard it was. Especially when my brother JUST got his licence went out drivin by himself and smashed up his car at 16 with beginners and no insurance etc etc. Lawyer told us if he hadn't had his beginners it would have been a much cheaper day.
