Sounds like either timing is off or possibly injectors are hooked up wrong and firing at the wrong time- which would cause both rough idle and flames

2Poor4Z is an unknown quantity at this point
id say you plugged the injectors back in in the wrong order.. its dumpin gas into the cylinders on the wrong stroke, not burning all of the gas, so your not producing power in those 2 cylinders causing the skipping and rough idle.. and then the gas is dumped out on the exhaust stroke and ignigting from the heat of the exhaust..

and no i didnt dp anything to the injectors they have nothing to do with the distributor, and you cant adjust the timing , so how can it be off.

We all know they have nothing to do with the distributor, you asked for what it could be and it was an idea since you MIGHT have had the intake off for some reason.

The timing CAN be off on the newer style distributor, it can be done. Off hand the only other thing I can think would be possibly the wires are either cross firing or hooked up to the distributer incorrectly..
