so i put the 305 in the car and then get a 350 cause the one i have now the block is cracked i was doing a burnout and it cracked its running I don't know how but its running i put some liquidglass and it worked. do you think its good im running 190 temp and it dosen't have a thermostad it has 3 fans the two regulars and one in the front i took off all the system for the AC so its just the motor

the heads don't crack teh mains (racers had issues with teh mains splitting, and the block cracking) Gm even had that issue on production engines (that was the reason they quit making them)

maybe the 4 bolts had a few issues, however the 2 bolts are no better or worse than 2 bolt 350s, drill n tap em for splayed caps and ur good to go

all the blocks had the issue, and when drilled for splayed they crack there (the block was made cheap with junk metal)some people get lucky and don't have trouble, then it's a good engine, also finding one that's in good shape for cheap is difficult (I can buy a 350 for under $100 that would run)

tell that to the machine shop I used to do business with with a bin full of them (they got to where if someone came in with one they took them out back)
