More MPG+HP? possible.?
Hey guys im 16 and about to go buy my first 2000 v6 camaro on sunday. I was wondering what i should do to it first to get a little more hp..but i want to maintain gas mileage. Are there any upgrades i can do that give me more hp and better gas milage or even the same? The car already has dual exhaust and i have about 600$ thanx alot.
P.S. i live in california so please try to accomadate smog laws
RANDOM FORD JOKE:From the past 10 years about 90% of Ford trucks are still on the road, the other 10% made it home.

General rule of thumb with most any cars.
More horsepower = less gas mileage.
But, somewhat contradictory to that, more air in, more air out = more hp. Good CAI, good exhaust setup, Ram air, etc.

Supercharger kit for your car will run around 5,000 dollars. Thats for the average powerdyne kit.
As per intake, it doesnt really much matter. Get on ebay, type in your year, engine, and 'cai' and look for one. If you really want to spend money, just grab one from SLP.
Lowering springs, I wouldnt go anything but Eibach Pro-Kit.

if you do good tuning with mods it won't hurt mileage as bad (hence there are guys out there with some strong v-8's getting 20 mpg) get a cold air induction kit that has the filter isolated from the engine heat. I'm not a fan of lowering f bodies myself.
