Haha... Wait for paar or phate to slap the **** out of you now. Just kidding....

I've done headers on an old chevelle and it was a piece of cake, but camaro engine bays are crowded and have all the EGR bs so its a little harder.

Its really cramped... getting everything off is 75% of the work.

For me, it took me close to a day total. And this was the first time Ive done it.

You might not even really need headers right away... what year did tubulars start?

Your car is also 11 years older than his.

So you have tubulars already... it really shouldnt be necessary to get headers right away unless you want to spend $300 more for a deeper sound.

Im not sure how tubulars differ in difficulty from the regular log manifolds, but IM going to say its probably much easier to get them out then the log manis, and your cars only 6 years old anyway. How many miles are on it?

well i installed pacesetters on a 2001 v6 camaro at work.

took maybe 3 or 4 hours to install them. pretty easy, except the EGR tube didnt fit right. power increase was next to nothing. plus now it sounded horrible with his flowmaster catback.

everyone knows my opinion on v6s...keep it for show and make it look good. get just a basic catback for some growl, but keep it stock. save your money for a V8 if you want to go fast.

and gthug dude...stop contradicting yourself. a CAI and lid are two seperate things that arent compatible with eachother. CAI is for 95-97. lid is for 98-02.

u can make a v6 fast it just takes a little more work, obviously if u put everything into a v8 and a v6 the 8 would be faster but viper is the perfect example of how a v6 can be fast with work, plus their reliable engines that get really good mpg, but yea headers when u already have tubular manifolds is just kinda throwing ur money away, im not to sure about power adders though that would be legal in california cause im not completely sure about how emissions works there, but u can never go wrong with a good intake and exhaust as starters

n/a the tubes are fine but people are finding better scavage with headers and less Knock
