Thats how most V8 guys feel, but I'm not going to knock someone's enthusiasm for his car either.

Personally, seeing how little of a difference they actually make on V8's as compared to what they are claimed to make, I wouldn't really hassle with it on a V6. I think being that young the money could be better spent elsewhere on things that will bring bigger smiles.

paarman97maro will become famous soon enoughpaarman97maro will become famous soon enough
I highly doubt that is even considered a CAI... they go right over the radiator, and into the engine... a CAI on a 95-97 actually has the filter away from the engine.

But if you wanna pay for 140 piece of metal you could make, be my guest.

You two are suck Newbs, when it comes to 98+ fbodies. The whisperlid and CAI (metal piece) is the 93-97 version of the CAI. They end up paying the same amount we do when we get a CAI. The air is ****** in through the metal piece and through the lid into the TB. Ask Chad.... or someone with a 98+. Basically everyone that mods 98+ fbodies have aftermarket lids and CAI's.

actually if i buy a CAI for my car it would give me a tube with a filter that drops off to the drivers side corner of the engine bay and would look kinda like the intake on a 93-97, i wouldnt still pull air through my original intake that has the lid in the front
