The best think we could do for this thread is lock it. Every one knows there is no replacement for displacement, but it's how you use the displacement that matters. It's not the size, it's how you use it. Lets see any luxury car be easier to park, cheaper on gas, and easier to get around in rush hour than my Rabbit or Freds Festiva or any small car. If you want to destroy the envirnment, then buy a Crown vic, or Town Car, or M5 or what ever. when the gas reaches $3 a liter, we'll all be laughing at you. :laugh:

By the way, I don't see what your problem is and why you can't understand what WE (the people who actually own cars) are trying to say. We are not saying that bigger displacement engines are a waste of time. We are not saying that small engines are far superior in every way. What I am saying is that most of the cars I take interest in do not need a large V8 engine to go fast. That's doesn't mean that I wouldn't ever buy a Mustang or Camaro (because at one point I would like to). I would love to have a V8 or a V6 engine in my car, but when a turbocharged four cylinder can propel the car as fast as the larger displacement engines, why is having the smaller engine such a bad idea? Perhaps if you actually drove the cars we do, you would understand.
