Chevrolet Cavalier

what do you racers think of 2003 chevy cavalier. its my dads. How does it compare to civics corolas and other compacts.

And I am talking about money/preformance wise. I dont know why my dad got it, but it was very cheap. Cheaper then other compacts. And it got 140 hp. I think the car isnt that slow.

The Cavalier has been leading the Motorsports industry since Adam and Eve were created. There has yet to be an invention by any man/animal/alien to surpass the greatness known as "Cavalier".

Also, this a true story. Google it.

Ya, it's cheaper and has more power than most of it's competitors. If those are the only categories you want to compare anyhow. But ya you're gonna get a lot of grief around here for talking about racing your dad's cavalier. Think about it.

1. It's heavy
2. It's slow
3. You will never get laid in it.
4. You might get 250 hp out of it if you're lucky.
5. It's ugly
6. It's ugly
7. Upside at least it's not a Civic.
8. It had 140 hp before they put power steering, auto trans, air cond. etc.
9. You will get your *** handed to you by pretty much everything on the street, even Chevettes.
Other than that it's a great car. Oh don't forget to add Altezzas.

yeah i have to agree its pretty ugly. But i kinda used to it so I learned to like it.
I wouldnt say its that slow compared to civic corola. I think its about the same.

what about older cavalier. 2.4 150 hp.

I like new cobalt though especialy SS edition

If you really want a cavalier, get an old 3.1 rs. Lots of torque, cheap.

I used to have a 91 cavalier rs with a 3.1 in it and it blew the doors off a newer z24 (2.4) anyday....would even smoke a civic sir off the line till third gear...then civic would pull ahead.

Easy to fix, tons of torque for such a small car, and was awesome in any weather with a big six in it.
