Anyway, it's not worth modding for speed. They can look nice, but most I see are stock with a exhaust. Just doesnt appeal to me.

I used to see 1 year old Neon lease returns with 45K sell for $3500 in milton.
Funny part is I started up like 6 of em and 5 of them had rough starts and idles.
Cav's weren't far off that same pattern. 04's going for like $4000 with next to nothing on the mileage.
92 Civic however with 200+KM on them would sell for $2200+... Go figure?
My 92 LX Sedan Auto BEATER w/ 357K on stock motor is still running perfectly, burns less than a litre of oil / 3500KM and still has a good working A/C.

i like the 89 cavs. cheap to work on and they look nice with the right mods.

lotta talkin in this thread, but here, if u want a comparison on how "fast" they are, i raced a honda del sol (si vtec) a while ago from a stop and had him by half a car. he knew how to drive and yes he was trying. all i could tell was that he had an exaust, i have an intake. stock for stock you can hang with ANY civic out there (even the almighty sir), 240s, and other cars in its class. for the guy shooting his mouth about his integra ls, lmao, ya right. im sure everyone is gonna say no its slow, but these r my personal experiences, its not that slow.

I have a 2000 Z24 with the 2.4, and I`ve beaten all types of hondas with very little work done mind you they were all pretty close to stock as well but mines around 175 at the wheels with only a little money spent and I haven`t opened the motor either so its still reliable.

My 02 cay with the 2.2L I4 125hp, 135tq beats stock civics and corollas. Cavys arent slow. I've beaten a hatchback civic with intake and exhaust. And im stock for now.
Any car can get loads of speed if you want. You all think cavys are slow because your experiences tell you they are. But guess what, we think the same way about civics, and corollas. They are slow, and sound like with a muffler, unless if its got a good muffler on it. Please tell me how a shitty 1.6L engine is better than a 2.2 or 2.4L. Sure its better on gas and more reliable, but whats faster? Sure your civic with an engine swap is faster, but did the cavy get an engine swap? Don't talk about cavys, because one day you will run into one of the 3800 swaps and you will get your *** handed to you
A stock cavy beats a stock civic and corolla, and they cost a lot less. You have to look at the prices of a car, sure your supra will kill a cavy, but look at the price difference and the engine difference! So whats with all the bitching that cavys are slow? They are a cheap reliable way of transportation. I've seen many upon many cavys still running good well after 200k's so dont call them unrelaible.

youre happy because you can pull half a fender on riced out 19 second honda's?
plenty of properly modded honda's with no rice on them will hand the majority of cav's their ***. 3800 swap or not. cav owners are just pissed because their heaps went from 9g's brand new one year, to 2k obo next year.
