hey jason lost on his own. he just didnt think he'd be able to beat my buddies tempo which ran high 14's on the motor, lol.

fit perfectly, no, the rebar is cut out 2 inches in and up, which ate 3 cutting disks and a piece of finger. the bumper had to be shaved on the inside, if you see a stock z bumper it has that little grill where the cutouts are ad those are missing in mine, infact i had to cut a little past just the grills because they stuck in too far and the bumper literally sits on the intercooler right now but lines up perfectly. oh and the bottom sits almost fluch withthe bottom of the bumper. its 8 inches tall and i only had 6 inches of room under the rebar, lol

LOL you serious man? you realise ive got a high 11 second car right. iv ebeen keeping it quiet in this post but honestly unless your running better than a high 11 your not gonna hold a candle to me. ive got a good street tire, ive got a set of drag radials aswell and i can adjust the suspension to make the car hook if i want to. on top of that ill launch the car from 3 grand at half boost via the launch control and the car will hook on my radials and itll stay hooked., once i hit third ill put the car to full boost and just sail away. we can go for a run if you want, hell i wont even launch the car hard and ill run you on girly boost, 12 pounds, hows that sound ill even turn off my meth injection and give you a little more of a chance

While I know that you believe in your car Uchi, I wouldn't be throwing numbers around until you've got that slip in your hand and even then I'd say you should back the run up after that too.

Although good luck, I hope to see you out @ TMP this year, I'll be there of course w/ my buddy MINT GTI, so if I see you I'll be sure to stop by.

U never did tell me what u'r using for engine management... It's not the MS unit u were selling a while back or is it? Just curious

sascha your right, but power to weight is there to get the car to where it needs to go, so hopefully i can an get some good times out of the car finally. traction is gonna be the biggest issue but as long as i dont bend the splines on another axle and destroy it into 4 piece again i should be fine as the tranny im using is quite a bit stronger than the isuzu thr car came with

engine is being controlled by hptuners. megasquirt is very hard to setup on these motors and to use it to control ignition requires converting over to obd1. there are maybe a handful of guys in north america who have succesfully gotten the megasquirt to work properly on these cars and i really dont want to get into dealing withthe headaches of that and having the car off the road again. even the safc on these cars controls ignition over fuel which i learned last year and thats only because the map sensor doesnt work like it would on say a honda or anything else for that matter. but hptuners works awsome, lets you completely change what gm put into the computer and theres no crap involved in wiring it in. 3 bar map sensor is all you really need.

ill keep you posted as to when i hit the track, there are gonna be a few outings just to get the car setup properly at the track and to figure the car out completely. actually id be quite happy with a 12.5 out of the car, still reliable but still a fast street car. ive actually got a buddy running low 12's in a newer twincam grandam, which is heavier, lightly built motor nothing like mine at only 14 pounds. and ive got a better geared tranny

anyways enough of giving away the car, come ot the track and wtch me grenade something

I agree.. getting the power to the ground is the biggest issue w/ boost and FWD. Especially if you have displacement.

Imagine how my buddy feels. 2.8L 24V VR6 + GT40/42 + single stage manual boost controller (set it and forget it)

BUT, in full street trim (full interior, etc) he was able to run a best of 11.1 on a 225 15" BFG. He wants 10's on the BFGs, but I dunno lol.

But as u see, it can work if u get u'r combo right

Yea that's good that you're able to program u'r factory ECU that easy. For many cars it isn't. Yea MS is not all too good I agree... It's ok, but there are many better options out there, even if you do have to pay more for them. But I'm guessing that your solution probably cost around the same as the MS u originally bought?

Umm... you drive a Honda don't you?

So I wouldn't talk about breaking axles. Because they pop like toothpicks.
