Yeah true.

At that time, GM was working on the rotary for a variation of the Corvette, Ford was working on a rotary for the Mustang, Toyota was working on one, and Benz actually had a 4-rotor peripheral port that made something like 350hp, they were going to put it in that Gull-wing car. Mazda was the only one to get it to work though. Pretty interesting I think.

judgez24 in one of your posts you said that if you get another car it will be rwd or awd.
i just wanted to say that i ve been thinking of the exact same thing the past couple of months. if i sell what i drive now i wont get another fwd , just cause im getting older. i think i need something bigger.
i was thinking about the sti too and my insurance on it is good (since ive been lucky with my driving the past couple of years, and im getting older too which sucks in a way)
anyways im having trouble deciding between the sti and the 04 cobra.
they cost about the same, but they are different in every other way.
which way to go now, stay with the import or get a muscle? the cobra can run in the 10s with little trouble but the sti is all year long and it can get real fun at times.(it is so forgiving when driven sideways its amazing)
both cars have their beauty. i dont want to regret my decision cause they cost like 30-33 grand right now, and my wife would kill me if i had to sell it in 6 months.LOL
now everybody has an opinion and it doesnt matter what you drive (civic or neon or mustang or whatever) people will allways shitalk what you drive.the LS1 guys will allways shitalk the mod motors and the vtec guy will shitalk the domestics and vice versa. cant get away from it, thats the beauty of modifying what YOU like and not what everybody else likes.

the cobra is nice but its a seasonal car. id go sti simply for the fact that its a 4 door, fuel efficent 4 cylinder turbo car. as much as i love the stangs the sti will take my vote for practicality. if your looking for a fun car to drive in the summer get the cobra

my civic? hell ive changed a couple of chassis and motor setups.
right now im getting rid of my jdm gsr and im working on a b20 vtec.
my car right now looks completely stock except the type r 5bolt and rims, at least thats all you can see, it also has type r brakes, control arms, master cylinder, flywheel and clutch, and i got a b16 tranny that is lsd when it shouldnt, i guess it was luck.
im getting tired of all the options i have though.LOL
i sold my z24 cause parts were costing me a fortune and the aftermarket support sucked, and now im pissed of all the options i have.
i guess ill never be happy. my brother said whatever car i get next, as soon as i drive it home and go to sleep at night all im going to be thinking is why i didnt get the other one!!!!!!
i was going to turbo my gsr but the money isnt worth it. the money for the turbo and if i sell my civic, would make a good down payment for something that will worth putting money into for the next years to come. not that my honda isnt worth it , but can you imagine me in 5 years at 34 years of age going around in a turbo hatch, taking my kids too school

its my personal opinion of where i want to invest my money, please dont start shooting at me.

also a note for the domestic sport compacts.
guys think about it, a cobalt might not be a jet, but its a fully loaded coupe with leather and sunroof, buckets quaiffe lsd and it looks good.its also almost as fast as a type r or rsx-s.
the ecotec has tons of aftermarket support and they are good motors. many euro cars are equipped with them, and they can make some serious horsepower.
if you think about it, i had to buy a car, take it to the body shop, fix the rust, paint it, then get a swap going, fix a couple of stuff and still only run a high 13 low 14. what an srt 4 does stock with ac and power steering
there is honestly times that i drive to work and wonder what it would be like having a normal car with ac.
you could also have an rsx-s or type r with all that comfort but you have to fork out 20000 for a 4-5 year old car instead of a brand new one.
as i said before, its all up to personal preference and the depth of your pocket.
i like domestic sport compacts and imports and muscle cars and euros.
im a car guy and love cars. not that i would ever buy a grand prix or a malibu or an echo, i like certain cars but from many different categories. and i believe the same goes for most of you. hell most of my friends went from j bodies to civics to mustangs.

PS:damn, my post is big

thats why i like the sti. it has all the above mentioned things, plus awd so in the winter your not getting buried in your driveway, enough room for you and 4 friends, or your kids. its a good al around car, its sporty and practical. im thinking that i might either get a used sti as a next vehicle or a new mustang. ive got luxury now in my 2k1 explorer sport, its loaded with leather and everything so i dont worry about being uncomfortable having to drive my toy around everywhere

There's the reason I'm driving a huge 2003 Nissan now. I still miss my Rabbit's though.
