Im not debating that, tell me where that topic even came up?

What I was questioning was the ignorance in that statement. Supras are nothing to laugh at. The Supra wouldnt be far off, But arguing with a bunch of Mustang drivers is like picking on the slow kid in remedial math. You can tell them the answer 100 times but they are just never going to get it.

And as a track car the nsx as gutless as it may be can definatly hold its own.

domestics run things n thats that no point in argueing.

here is something that i find really funny. when you hear a guy in his civic with a motor swap or something that raced a stock mustang n beat it. afterwards he tells every1 how slow mustangs are n blah blah blah stock motor this that.

MOTOR SWAPS = not stock

doesnt matter if the h22 motor is stock civics dont come with h22 mottors

Maybe when it comes to a straight line, Sure. But there are many other facets of racing around the world. How often do you see a Mustang or a Cavalier In FIA Rallye, Touring Car, or just any racing that actually involves turning a corner.

No point on arguing that either.

Quite often,

ever heard of Mosport?

Go there on a weekend. You'll see. I'm an import guy but I won't deal with ignorance.

Ya, all the time. Usually there with Porsche guys. I didn't say there wasn't any but in terms of the comment proir, Domestics dont "run things".

Hope you're not implying the ignorance on my end. Try not to look at things on so much of a micro local level. Think World, think big picture.

Im all for people racing anything they want, racing is a lifestyle. Just because you have a 8 second mustang doesn't give you the right to rag on someone for racing a 13 or 14 second car. There has to be a starting point somewhere. You can have a fully prepped track car, trailor and all that you take for laps every weekend, or you can be a kid that throws another set of rubbers in the back of your daily, swap them when you get to the track and race all day... and then drive home. Racing is racing, plan and simple.

So don't point a finger at me stating my ignorance. Look at your fellow board members and Mods.

As for those video's on utube. I could do the same with guys that I know at the local track, with much faster times. So get some videos of local guys. If you want to search the web look up thoses guys in pmra running low 7's on street tires, in a mustang

Dude, if a car runs a number then it runs a number. Doesnt matter if a guy in the middle of africa did it. Its still been done.

I can get some faster videos too. Whats your point?

my point is anyone can search for fast cars, but for searching for the fastest import cars and thats all you came up with, its pretty weak. 7.57 is the fastest one there. At Toronto motorsport you would not qualify with that. And thats in a 10.5" tire class. never mind an outlaw class like the imports in the video.
Our local boys are running 6.80's on a 10.5" tire

Breakin a half shaft and spilling trany fluid everywhere. Then everyone at the track has to wait for clean up before they can go down the track.
Take my advice race a ford, chevy or a dodge. Go all day, have fun, and best of all watch how much faster you will go.
IMPORTS EVERY has one.

When you compare cars , of course the v8 is gonna be a quicker motor then the 4 its got more cylinders!! Its not rocket science !!
I work on car's all day (My profession) and I have owned like 12 different cars myself, but I have to say I would never purchse a domestic ever again! I do rebuilds on domestic motors and trannys' all year long!
Most fords I see going to the wreckers have no more then 230km on them ,there repairs are more then what the thing is worth so they get crushed . I have had 3 honda's with over 500km on them , my 93 integ actually had 670km LOL. Im not trying to bash domestic's cause I have an 80 z28 myslef, but would never go domestic again. QUALITY REASONS

This thread originally started out with what I would term as a statement more then a question.
And the statement was pretty clear, ernie hates Imports. plain and simple, they have on any number of occasions, pissed off ernie.

Well as expected, at least by ernie I'm sure, it's taken on a life of it's own, and turned into a pissing contest between Imports and Domestics,
rather Mustangs, since that's ernies car of choice, and most shots at ernie have been geared towards his stang, if not himself.

There isn't anyone on this board or any other for that matter, that can honestly show justification for banning or Not allowing Imports at the track.
ernies statement about how Imports have a common fault problem, of not being able to hold up on the line, has it's merits perhaps at least to ernie.
But it would seem the tracks officials and owners have yet to agree with him on that matter, as last I checked, The Imports are still running.

But, if you look at what he originally asked, "Why do you guys waste your time with import?" ..... well, why Red and not blue?

Just personal choice for most I'd imagine ernie...

Now, as much fun as it's been to sit back and watch fellow board users rant back and forth about how this that and that is this...(BTW, nice videos too).

What it boils down to is this.... You run what you brung, you learn from the mistakes you make, and if your having fun, then that's all that matters.

You wanna go faster? SPEND MORE MONEY, You wanna do it in an Import? More power to ya... you want to do it in a Stang? why the hell not!
Or any other domestic for that matter... to hell with the guy behind you, always remember that...... and just maybe with a little luck,
That's where the fuq'r will stay.. Behind you....Yellow Yellow Yellow Green....Or for some of you... Red.
