As long as we can all agree, the big three sell way more cars then all imports put together. Now you can read all you want about what cars are more reliable.
But when I'm driving down the road and a car is broken down, most of the time it's an import, even at the track.
Lets not even talk about how bad the jap cars crumble under impact.

Toyota sells more then GM even in N.A. VW sells the most in Europe. So where does that leave American cars?

The reason why you see so many imports on the side of the road is because they out number the domestics by 5 to 1 AT LEAST. People dont want 5L's or 6.1L's or big litre motors anymore because of two good reasons;

1- Gas is too expensive
2- You dont need a big litre V8 to make huge power when you can do it with small V6's and 4cyl's..

Im not saying V8's arent still popular but the rest of the world has gotten smarter and now its time for North America to do the same. Why do you think in Europe people buy diesel and small 4cyl engines, even 3cyl motors.

Companies like Fiat and Seat, and Skoda all still make 500cc , 750cc, and even 900cc motors.

All in all give it another 5 years when were paying 2.50$/L for 87. Everyone will want a diesel and small motor vehicles.

Where have you been? Who do you think they are talking about when they talk about the big three?

Go do some research, you will be shocked how many more cars the big three sell more then all imports put together.

ant fiat and those smaller companies make those small engines, cause of where they are used, the roads there are small and tight, and gas prices in europe is around $2.50 per liter.

but the place where most cars are sold is in north america.

the only reason here in toronto you see alot of imports is cause of the people that live here, most people in toronto are not from canada.

Now imagine my f150 with a v6 or a 4cyl , talk about a gutless wonder, and I can't see it being any better on gas. 5000 lbs is 5000lbs I still have to move that weight. I use it for construction and for towing my car to the track. I can't imagine using a 4 cyl for that. while i tow I'm upto 12,000 lbs talk about stressing out a motor, to over heating, to break down like the other imports.

for safty I would love one of the imports run into my 5000 lbs truck, I can tell you I'll be driving home, without a scratch. you on the other hand , maybe a v8 ambulance taking you to the doctors.
