I could really care less how reliable either car is. The argument is about who would win in a race, Lingenfelter Vette or a 69 ZL1.

if the vette won't go it loses, the camaro is alot less weight, and the torque of the big block is better (not to mention the hp is pretty close in reality)plus the vette looks like a vette so it loses points imediatly (unless you do the c6 one)

Where did you read that? All the different road tests I've seen of the Lingenfelter Vette's they said the car's performed flawlessly and I've read quite a few of them.

Which engine did it have? My dad has subscriptions to Motor Trend, Car and Driver, and Road and Track and everytime there was a Lingenfelter in there I would read it word for word and I've never heard anything but absolute praise.

I could imagine Lingenfelter has had problems in the past but nothing as bad as what your saying Arch. If that was true I don't think the company would have such a built up name.

it was on the show, all of the companies had problems (most of those companies get their name off the cheap job not the show cars the magazines do)

I proved myself wrong, it was the only one that didn't break (and it was car and driver)
"We're not saying cars modified by John Lingenfelter don't break. They do on occasion. But the screaming yellow Corvette that his people brought for our little abusefest — boosted by twin turbos to 650 horsepower — was one of only two cars in the test that ran perfectly throughout the road and track portions of our program."
but at 650 hp it would not beat the zl1 especially if the camaro was tuned a bit the hp would be about the same

Ok, because from reading all those articles I never once read a single bad thing about Lingenfelter execpt the price.

You don't think it'd beat a ZL1? ZL1's ran according to a Super Chevy(I think that's what it's called) magazine low 11's in the 1/4. They were comparing it to the '02 ZL1's. I have a video of the twin turbo 427 'Vette running mid 9's.

but keep in mind noone has run the zl1 on radial tires or slicks, those times are on the old narrow 14 inch bias plys that couldn't get traction on glue
