don't use the rubber garbage end seals (GM issued a TSB saying toss them) clean the surface really well with brake cleaner or laquer thinner before using a good rtv (blue or black are solvent resistant most of teh others are not, and oil will eat through them) and only apply a small bead, if you have enough it squeezes out enough to see a glop you have way too much (a 1/4" bead is on the large side)

You should compromise by getting a SECOND sh*t-box car with no power, and keep the T/A. "See honey, I bought this little sh*t-a$$ Accord with rusty doors for you... because it's not fast." ...and watch her compromise and stop complaining about how your car is too powerful.

You need to learn to train your girlfriend as well as she has you trained.

I guess we know who wears the pants now Caleb..

And like Arch said, don't bother with those little intake gaskets, I never do, they are the first thing to find their way to the garbage when workin on a motor. Black RTV has always worked fine for me. Just make sure you give it ample time to dry before starting the car.

well the LT1 gasket sets dont have those, ive just used silicone before and i would think a gasket is a better seal. i always let my car sit 24 hrs after i seal it so the silicone is cured.

like i said though, it seems something is in the bolt holes cuz the manifold isnt all the way in place even though the bolts are torqued...that or its severely wharped
