Why not let what other people say get to you? My moms 06 Kia has the SAME tiburon engine the V6 tibs have...I know this because Hyundai is owned by kia and my friend has a highly modded tib v6. The kia we have is the 06 sportake suv v6 its a DAM AWSOME truck. Very well built and rides great with awsome gas mileage. Not everyone likes other brands. So just ignore them...test drive one u like it then buy it.

Idk about anyone else, but im not flaming anyone Slvr. Im putting in my 2 cents just like I would if me and him were talking in person.

And in response to NoRice about specifics of why they are bad cars... I work for an independant auto shop, and we get sent a stack of recall notices every week from the dealerships we frequent. Hyundai and oddly enough, Volvo are typically the largest in item recall amounts. That is my first point. The next thing is, near everything on it is made of plastic in a hyundai, even more so than our camaros and most any car out there. Peices that should be made of metal are made of plastic instead, and we all know what happens when plastic gets old. I actually went into our database at work and looked up our warrenty claims, Hyundai was 2nd highest amount of low mileage warrenty claims all across the board.

But anyway, listen man. Im not bashing you AT ALL. Im just saying to you, what I hope someone else would say to me. As I said earlier, if this is the car you really want, GET IT. Its not a bad looking car if you leave them stock, not bad at all. Either way, good luck with it, and I really DO hope you prove me wrong, and that car goes 200k with no probs.

Well, I think the Tib is alright looking, and considered it for a DD till I saw the Mazda 3 & 6, which dropped it off my list immediately(and then of course I found the GTP). I could never imagine selling my Camaro for one. I have a few friends that have one and I have heard a good bit of complaints about the cars, but you hear complaints about all cars, so . If its what you want, then get it. But you might regret it, and at that price.. that's a lot to regret.

From http://auto.consumerguide.com/Auto/U...eviewroadtest/:

"Six-speed V6s averaged 15.7 mpg in fast city/freeway driving and performance tests, and 22.1 mpg in mixed city/freeway work."

I get better than that...

No way... Dude... With about half city half highway mine averages 20-24. And like I said, the best I've ever gotten was on the way back from denver, 27 MPG.

You need to get an f'n tune-up then. Fuel filter, plugs and wires, clean your injectors, PCV valve, check your air filter, and change all your damn fluids. Because 13 is TERRIBLE for an LT1.
