need advice

hey everyone i know you must be sick of these kinda question but i need some opinions. i will be buying a car soon and i have a few cars in mind but i dont know what will be my best option for a student that doesnt want to spend too much on gas but still want a car that has the ability to be modded nicely for both performance and style.

These are my options:
1996-1999 civic si
1994-1997 accord coupe/sedan
1993-1997 mazda mx-6 or mx-3

I would go with the Civic, but expect to pay upfront if you want a good car. Civics are overpriced due to the demand of people wanting them, but the aftermarket is swamped so the prices are low if you just want something cheap.
