you dont have to do anything for vtec to kick in, just keep your foot on the floor. In the siR i think its set at 5800. An intake will make it more noticeable, but if you turn down your radio you should be able to hear a difference.

thanks man im gonna try it out aafter my next fill up im trying to see how much km i can get out per tank of gas. it was only giving 375 before probably because i wasnt shifting properly. im shifting at 3000-3500 rmp now before i used to shift like at 4500 or higher i was excited to get my first standard lol

referring to the gas milege statement, it's worse in the winter than in the summer. with my teg in the summer i can get 500km out of a tank no prob (600 and chage on the highway). in the winter i sit around 400-420 on a full tank to the point to where the light comes on.

though you are right, the way u drive has something to do with it too. i shift under 3500 all the time. usually under 3 when the car is cold just to give her time to warm up.

DO NOT GET A CHEAP HEADER. There is alot of heat generated by the motor through exhaust, if it's cheap the flange can warp and so on and so forth. better spend the money on a header than have an exhaust leak. an expensive header may also come with a guarantee so it's protected for a while. also 4 to 1 header's are a little harder to install than a 2 piece header, keep that in mind if you are installing it youself.

grab a DC jdm 4-1 header, best bang for the buck unless u wanna get a custom for 800-1000
this has the larger 2.5' collector, but get an exhaust first if u dont already, then the header
i had\have the aem v2, illl sell it too u if u want for cheap(msg me), its better then the reg CAI or short ram for sure and def sounds sicker, but were only talkin about like 2hp lol

I've personally heard mixed reviews of DC racing. Some people love them, but others say that there are much better headers out there. Just depends on how much your looking to spend.
