As for performance, well, I like to think there is more to it then two numbers. A GREAT car to me is one that is fast, but nimble. If all you care about is acceleration, then by all means, go drag race. But thats for pussies who cant drive.

So let's see, for about $15,000, including the cost of the car, I can make a civic hatch reach 350hp no problem. Plus it's light, and with a nice suspension setup it will take most cars. Oh and amazingly the reliability will still be there. Sounds like a great deal for a good track car.

That's why I choose imports over domestics.

kinda sad that to you imports as a whole is all about a civic hatch. a civic hatch is the last car id get.

funny how all the domestic (ie jbody) haters have a story about a "friend" with a cav and problems. ive had mine coming up on 3 yrs, no prob. i know people who have cavs, no probs. maybe ur "friend" treats it like and doesnt deserve to own a car.

And working at HONDA would be the , and if you tried to wash a car at Honda you would have to pay for a new paint job for the car! not saying he does wash cars but HONDA TECH gives it away

I own a brand new GM.. before that I had 2 of them for alote longer then 2 years. YOU on the other hand have never bought one in your life. Honda cars do not last for 8 years minimum. That sentence right there shows your idiocy. No car is sold with a set number of years to last. Nice try..Working at honda in the garage wouldent be the because you would be broke (since nothing ever goes wrong) theres no need for mechanics at honda.

for 15,000 i could mod a LS1 fbody , outhandle your ass in the twisties ,in the 1/4 and still be more reliable then you on the way to work in the morning.

THANK YOU come again. A civic hatch is a heap.

Actually you could not. U would still have a heavy car with sloppy steering, Solid Axle rearend. He said 15G inc price of car.

U should see what happens when LS1 cars try to run with me in the twisties or on the track they usually end up in the dirt at the end of turn 1.

Hmmm Are you really that ignorant?

There are plenty of other Import cars that have a massive aftermarket and people have been modding for years. I honestly can't believe the sh1t that comes out of your mouth somtimes. Do you actually believe yourself?

Who the hell cares who would win, they're both scrap. Judging by how defensive you are Honda Tech, it sounds like you own a D-Series.

The only place those two cars should be racing is to the scrapyard.

kyriian 02-07-2006 12:26 PM

civic, i think its shorter gears as well..... isnt it? but give a 17 year old a civic and michael schumacher the cav then.........

Nice thread, comparing 2 16 second (or more) cars, this is pathetic.

and also, why is it that lately all the talking threads are all about civics and cavis?

its funny how the people who talk the most are the guys with the slowest cars on this forum. bring your cars out in the summer and lets settle this on the street.

just my two cents.

"Working at honda in the garage wouldent be the because you would be broke (since nothing ever goes wrong) theres no need for mechanics at honda."

Well, I am not that broke, and I would love to say that Honda's never break, but your not far off, its mostly maintenance work, and if actually happens.

oh, and I own a C-series, just for clarifacation.

Ok, what do you suggest comparing, maybe some 14 sec. cars for you, like the Nissan 350Z Vs S2000???

well you're better off comparing the sir to the z24, and the 2.2l cav to the si.

and for a matter of fact you are not broke when working at honda. Most of them are in their apprenticship and getting free training is pretty sweet when you get paid for learning un like other people having to spend 15grand on post secondary school.
