I didnt really get that, i'm just saying its pathetic comparing 2 shitty cars, why not compare modified cars? i dont know, anything that can take less than a day to get to 100. I didnt say anything about 350z's or 2000's, but if you do wanna compare them than why not? at least its better than comparing a civic to a cavi

sxy_stang 02-07-2006 10:27 PM

not taking any sides or anything but how can anyone say a honda would last longer than a cavalier it all depends on how you drive it and maintain it

I'm so tired of hearing people say this. If you think drag racing doesn't take any skill, you either suck at it, or you haven't tried it. Don't get me wrong, circuit racing is awesome, but just because you prefer to take turns rather then go in a line doesn't make you better then everyone else, and make peole who drag a . I'm so sick and tired of the mentality that these auto-x/road course guys have where they think they're superior to everyone else because they choose handling over acceleration.

"Drag Racing is for fast cars, auto-x is for fast drivers" Yeah, eat a dick.

funny how all the domestic (ie jbody) haters have a story about a "friend" with a cav and problems. ive had mine coming up on 3 yrs, no prob. i know people who have cavs, no probs. maybe ur "friend" treats it like and doesnt deserve to own a car.

I chose the civic as an example because thats whats being talked about. I didnt have to chose a civic.

Ok, fine, you didnt like my example with the cavalier. Once again I chose this car because it was being talked about. I could have chosen my friend with a probe whose engine died on the highway. Damage was beyond rapair.

So my experience with domestics has never been great. Hence why I drive an import.

:smilie_da nice!

There are many examples of this. Like when you see two completely stock cars running in the 1/4 one runs a 19sec 1/4 and the other runs a 16. It does take skill to drag.

ok, we have already gone over this, your 2.2l is slower than my cat, and the Sir would rock any abortion gm put out on the market and called a cavalier.

so I was, in the begining, trying to be fair with this comparison, which has got alot off votes for both sides, so I think it is a fair comparison. thanks so for me, opinions lead to a tie between the cars as many people posted, meaning its coming down to drivers. comparison completed thanks.

lmao

first the si is a piece of , but no one admits it, and a 2.2 will hang with it. and second, id put my car against an sir (and have) just to prove you wrong.

Honda Tech 02-09-2006 07:22 AM

so how do you think a 2.2l pushrod cav with a pwr to wght ratio of 21.81 lbs per hp can keep up with and Si that has 5 more hp and a pwr to wght ratio of 17.85 lbs per hp.
we talked about this on page 2 of this thread. so one again. :tool:

oh and nice pics of your car. Lmao...

also... what does it matter that u put your car up agaist an Sir, you didn't say who won, or prove u won, so how did you prove me wrong? just wondering.....

im just stating. i did win, i didnt kill em, but a win is a win. and how can i prove it, i cant, which is why i didnt say anything. i dont drive around with a freakin camera in my car so then i dont dive a wether you believe me or not. do you really think sir's are that fast? if you do you are a very ignorant person. the newer ones look like a smaller version of a minivan and they arent light. but i guess slap an R at the end and its a 12 second car.

this coming from a civic owner, lolol.

i dont know how "fast" your car is now, but if its a 14, 13 or 12 sec car...im sure it came from the factory like that. :retard:

Nastyzed 02-09-2006 08:44 PM

You can really prove anything around here.. Nobody drives around filming races we just have to take each others word for it. Honda tech get over it and stop putting civics up on a high platform. You abviously havent driven many cars because you talk about civics like there bentleys.. So just do us all a favor and shut the up.
