Head won't blow from the extra power, unless you rev it way beyond it's stock redline, where you won't make any power.

Pistons aren't part of the head. Only thing in the head boost could melt would be the exhaust valves, but that's only if you're running wayyyy to lean, and you'd probably melt the rings before the exhaust valves.
And with good tuning you should be able to run about 15psi on the stock block with 2 headgaskets

Thats what low compression pistons are for. Or race gas/meth injection.

Also, you are going to tune on the dyno......but you are installing a wideband......????

I think he's gonna run 2 headgaskets which brings the compression down to about 9.2:1
They have been proven to work up to about 280whp on an 8v, and even more on a 16v.

Have you ever tuned a car before? or used the SDS to do so? I would spend the 200-300 bucks getting someone who knows what they're doing and who has VW experience tune it, unless you like breaking stuff

I dont have a wideband but im goin to try to find a dyno place that has one that i can use... I will get my own 02 sensor, cause its good to have. Im planning to run 15 PSI with the stacked gaskets... mabye 16 or so... but we will see soon enough

Heh, just couldent resist when i saw that picture.

What are you doing for fuel delivery?
I dont get what you mean by 'not full SDS'. Ive never used that system, but cant you map both timing and fuel? I dont get what the Boost Retard is for if you are going standalone ECM with a MAP sensor. You should have full control of timing events based on boost/RPM/Throttle position with an EM-4

nono.. its Extra injector controller

www.sdsefi.com/eic.html

Simple controls allow quick, easy adjustments. The boost threshold **** permits you to set the boost pressure that you wish the unit to start injecting at. The fuel gain control allows you to fine tune fuel delivery to your specific needs from 1 - 100%. The internal microprocessor and MAP sensor control fuel flow from your **** selections proportionally with RPM and boost pressure. This permits a trickle just coming on boost at low rpm, to a storm at full boost and high rpm.
