also to make a reliable nitrous engine there are some compromises you make the cam profile is different and so is the compression, you can add 75 hp easy some cars even up to 125 hp, but to do much more reliably is going to have the same isssues as a n/a motor

Well, I believe all that is required for something like this is forged internals, a nitrous cam, and some minor porting. You can use standard bolt-ons, and as far as blowing the street tires off, you can buy kits (venom I believe) that will increase the horsepower over several seconds. Starting with 125, and within 5 sec. have it run up to the 300.

Its not so much the sudden shock of the power as it is just the massive amount of power. Even starting out slow in second gear, the last car would end up spinning thru the top end of second and get a little loose in third as well. Its the total amount of traction that street tires can provide as opposed to the amount of power being produced. It can be done, but you have to have the chassis set up properly and if you are doin all that you might as well build a race car IMO.
