B6T street rep is low. keep going
Ok, the only real way to settle this would be to find the fastest Civic and the fastest J-body on this site and then line then up. Then we'll see who sucks. Who wants to volunteer?

who said anything about a j-body? why are you bringing it up? did i at all mention "lets compare civics to j-bodies? funny how automatically youd compare the two.

good aftermarket, excellent potential as a front wheel drive car, reliable, fuel efficient, well engineered motors, excellent resale value, above average build quality, lightweight, variety of engine swaps available, proven power makers with or without power adders, well engineered suspension typically, fun to drive for fwd'ers, practical, frequent updates and revisions from honda, huge aftermarket support in terms of research, testing and engineering...

in its class, i would say the civic is pretty good car. you made this thread to try and prove a point. youve failed.

oh and now that i have provided you with over a dozen reasons why the civic does not, in fact, suck, lets see how the jbody platform compares under the same criteria.

good aftermarket - the cavalier's is a lemonade stand compared to a costco in terms of aftermarket variety
excellent potential for fwd car - you do not see many cav's going fast unless theyre pro 8 car's with tube chassis'
fuel efficient - not really
well engineered motors - not really
resale value - no
build quality - poor
lightweight - meaty for a fwd'er
variety of engine swaps available - not really
proven power makers with or without power adders - not really
well engineered suspensions - jbody's underpinnings remained mostly unchanged for over a decade
fun to drive - poor feedback, poor feel
practical - yea why not
frequent updates and revisions from gm - its basic design didnt really change for quite a bit of time
big support in terms of aftermarket engineering - mostly from gm backed teams pouring money and talent into pushing their performance to the limit

so in that regard, tell me how the cavalier doesnt suck.

did the jbody forum kick you off? i dont get it, youre not wanted here, why do you insist on staying?

above average build quality? try again.. well engineered suspention? you must be talking years back because my buddy that works at classic honda was just commenting on how they looked like they fell of a GM assembly line. Mostly due to the fact that they apperantly use a mac pearson type suspention.

hahahahahahaha
if you just want to travel dont to this thread: http://torontostreetracing.com/onlin...ad.php?t=19367 you'll notice that you just proved my point, along with everyone else that posted here  . i never once mentioned a j-body, remember that.

also, i like the "did the jbody forum kick you off? i dont get it, youre not wanted here, why do you insist on staying?" comment. are us jbody owners only limited to a single forum, and cannot visit other forums? nice try. dont think cause you own a supra (or whatever the hell you own, im going by a picture cause i have no real interest) that you can talk about other people. i guess youre allowed to visit any forum you want? please explain where it says jbody owners arent allowed here? toronto street racers, doesnt say imports, doesnt say no domestics, doesnt say no j's. nice try.

what the do i care about your lube jockey boyfriend working at classic honda? i could care less about his opinion, and conform with what the industry on the whole feels about the civic. btw, the civics stint with mcp. struts only lasted one generation.

reason we keep bringing up the jbody, is because you keep defending them, or you call out some other car, and it begs to ask the question, what do you drive? wow, a jbody!?! no ing way? really? a jbody? amazing!!! what the are you doing on a street RACING site, when you own a in cavalier? you should be surfing local scrapyards webpages, seeing who will give you the most for that pickle wagon.
youre on here only to start , and continually attempt to earn our affection toward the cavalier. who are you going to win over? not even festiva owners are impressed with jbodies!

There's really nothing wrong with Civics. Except that everyone, their mom, grandparents, and sisters, etc., own/drive one. And then there's RICE. Other than that, they're ok.

Civics are good cars for what they are worth.

And you Sir seem to have an over inflated ego.
