You can buy a ****-load of better cars in the United States for $20,000. If you were talking Canadian dollars, I'd say "Yeah, a Tiburon is probably what you're looking at"... but man, $20,000 US can buy something much better than a Korean.

Im the one that posted that.

I say that motor is more important because I work on all my own cars, and I work on other peoples cars every day of my life pretty much. I can tell you this, no matter where the factory is, its built the same way, they might be a little more picky on their quality control here, but not a huge difference. Its still a hyundai.

For me, daily driver should be a reliable car that I can fix for cheap, and drive around in all day long for decent gas mileage, and I wouldnt be too horrified if I killed / wrecked it. To me, that isnt a hyundai. A hyundai is a peice of *****. You can get a styling and interior package on almost any car to make it feel comfortable and look decent, what really matters is the engine and how it holds up over time. Just buy a honda for gods sake and be done with it lol. I'll praise honda all day long, as much of a horsepower junky and domestic lover I am, honda makes one hell of a reliable car, and damn are the cheap and easy to fix. My next DD is going to be a honda when I sell my truck.

If you buy a Toyota, we all reserve the right to beat you and pee on your crippled body when we're done.

But how many people offer that nowdays? With cars being so cheap, and 100,000 mile warrenty just released by GM... cmon. We both know your options are not limited. You are just choosing what you think is pretty lol. Which is all well and good. Just understand we are not bashing your taste, we are just giving you fair warning about the car. And when 9/10 of the people on an automotive forum dislike a car, typically there is a good reason.

Warranty is all well and good, but what good is a vehicle if it's in getting fixed all the time?

the tiburon is a really really nice interior and it was very comfortable. black leather with red cloth inserts. for 45 series tires it rode very nice. the automatic i drove had the shiftronic which was a manual shift auto and damn was i impressed. most others that ive driven, chrystler 300 especially, shift automatically if you dont and they have a long delay. the tib was really a true manual shift. only difference is it wont let you go down to 1st unless youre under 15 mph and its only 4 gears

so thats why im wondering if i should get an auto or a 5 speed...also the system...should i pay extra for the infinity stereo with subwoofer or get the basic cd player and install my crunch sub and amp?
factory radios suck ***** (that infinity system is actually worse sounding than the regular one) the 10 year warranty is alomost meaningless on the hyundai they fix it, but it may sit at teh dealer for 6 months (parts have to come from korea)

eh...really not for the tiburon...personally.

Realize the potential that $20,000 has.
It's huge.

If warranty's your concern, try a used dealer that has a car with low miles (repo??) one owner, and that offers warranties.
