hp is NOT meaningless.

down low torque is overrated amongst you domestic folks.

Holding torque across the powerband is where its at. as the revs climb if you can hold the torque , the more hp you make(which is important), the faster you go PERIOD. no ifs and or buts.

f1 cars spin to the moon making lots of power out small motors.(hold the torque)
nascar spin those dumbestic v8's to 8500-9000 rpm..why? just for fun?i dont think so.

indy car rev high.... top fuel rev to 8-9k rpm .

just cause its cool? um no. ANY time you get into making power the revs have to go up.

The smaller the motor... you need the revs sooner to make less power then a bigger motor. Its just the way it goes.

Yeah skylines and suprassound cool too, but you gotta love the rumble that you can only get from lots of cubic inches. Now before everyone gets all excited, I drive a 4 cyl turbo, and love the sound of it too, but who's gonna argue with the huge rod you get when a '70 427 hemi cuda pulls up next to you. As long as it's properly maintained. MMMGOOD!!!!
