I work for a gm dealer. I'm actually the one that installs the stage 2 kits at my dealer. I'm also an owner of a 2006 Cobalt SS. I've gone on alot of road tests with these cars, while the owners were driving them. Alot of them don't know how to drive these cars, especially if they don't have lsd. Me personally, I havent lost a race yet. And i've lost count of all the civics i've PUMPED. These cars don't have alot of traction in 1st and 2nd gear with the stage 2 kit. So if the guy doesnt know how to drive it, I wouldnt be suprised if they lost a race to a mazda 323. Personally i Hate the new civic. But I love 92 hatchback civics.

hahaha, cause those are the FFFFFFAAAAAAASSSSSSTTTTTT ones right?
pretty sad the only way a civic is somewhat quick is by spending thousands on a motor swap, only to gain a few hp and no tq. then the civic is still awesome, yet it contains no actual civic oem parts or civic replacement parts. cobalt ss/sc > civic any day.

i always thought colbalt ss were quicker than that. 14.8 stock doesn't impress me. I

blowncobalt 10-11-2006 11:35 PM

i've driven coupe sir's, and they are slllloooowwwww. I've driven hatches with b16, also stones. I've never lined up with a hatch civic with a h22 swap. From what i hear, those tuned right will do high 12's at the track. Then i'm sure they'll hand my ass to me. But you are still driving a 12,13,14.......year old car. What's so good about that. And for the guy comparing a supercharged SS witha 1996 ex civic, BRA STAY AWAY FROM ACID.
